María Verónica Marietta Iglesias
30 years in Ushuaia!
She got a degree in Social Communication, and also graduated as a Technician in Tourism and Guide from the National University of the Patagonia San Juan Bosco.
She guides in Spanish, French and English. She dares to do it Portuguese as well. She studied Russian for 4 years and she started learning Chinese.
In her spare time she hikes and explores every corner of “her island”. She knows Antarctica and all of southern Patagonia, both Argentinian and Chilean sides.
She prepares her guided tours very thoroughly, focusing on the interests, ages, origins of her passengers, and adapting to the type of experience they want. For being a history buff she puts a strong emphasis on this aspect, but she also shares her knowledge of the flora, fauna and the natural environment.
She has a personal contact with her passengers, among whom many have become dear friends.
She is looking forward to meet you!
