TREKKING ON VINCIGUERRA GLACIER

Itinerary

Departure from hotel at 9:00 am. – Trekking starts at Andorra valley – Ascent to Laguna de los Témpanos (Icebergs Lagoon) – Break and lunch by the lagoon – Walk on Vinciguerra Glacier with crampons –Weather permitting, ice climbing at glacier walls – Return to Andorra valley and transfer back to Ushuaia – Estimated arrival time around 4:30 pm.

Description

On our way to the glacier we’ll visit an operational peat exploitation area and then we’ll enjoy the forest following old woodcutters’ trails.
The Glacier Trekking is a unique experience, where you will walk on glacier thousands of years old, and explore its caves, crevasses, moraines.

Ice walking, ice climbing, tips on glacier understanding and observation (caves, crevasses, moulins).

Passengers must bring

Trekking boots, backpack, jacket, gloves, cap, sunglasses, sunscreen and bottle of water.
