class='special-heading-border'><div class='special-heading-inner-border'><\/div><\/div><\/div><br \/>\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section \"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock  '   itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Located 12 km (7.5 miles) from the city of Ushuaia, in the southwest portion of Tierra del Fuego and sharing borders with Chile to the West, this is the southernmost national park of Argentina.<br \/>\nThe tour starts along the National Route N\u00ba 3 across the Pipo River valley and by the Mount Susana, driving by the station of the End of The World Train and areas where the old Prison inmates used to work. Those passengers who wish to take this train may do so one-way, and get on the bus again after a 7 km (4.3 miles) ride, already within the National Park, at \u201cdel Parque\u201d station.<br \/>\nThose not taking the train will enter by our mini bus.<br \/>\nOnce in the Park, we will walk around the recreational area that offers ideal sceneries for flora and wildlife watching, as well as panoramic views blending forest, mountain and sea. In order to better understand the landscape we\u2019ll propose some walks on authorized trails.<br \/>\nWe will visit the following highlights within the Park:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #d6b319; font-size: 20px;\">Zaratiegui Bay<\/span><\/p>\n<p>we take a secondary road from Route 3 and after 2 km (1.2 miles) we arrive to the coast of the Beagle Channel. From here, we can spot the Isla Redonda (Round Island) and explore part of the coastal path.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #d6b319; font-size: 20px;\">Acigami Lake<\/span><\/p>\n<p>we take a secondary road by the Lapataia River. As we get close to the camping area, the forest displays unique features: the oldest trees of the Park can be found here -some of them, more than 300 years old. When the road ends, the forest disappears giving way to Lake Roca (Acigami).<br \/>\nOn crossing Lapataia River we\u2019ll find a series of trails to explore the Cormorants archipelago and its multiple environments. The panoramic viewpoint Laguna Verde (Green Lagoon) will stand out, as well as Laguna Negra (Black Lagoon) once we cross the Ovando River; from here we\u2019ll be able to see a peatbog and beaver dams.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #d6b319; font-size: 20px;\">Lapataia Bay<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Lapataia Bay is the final tip of the National Route N\u00ba3, and also the last stop of South American roads. Furthermore, this is the closest spot to Cape Horn (southern end of South America) that can be reached by car.<br \/>\nAlong the shores of the bay there are outcrops of rocks belonging to Lapataia Formation, the oldest of Tierra del Fuego.<br \/>\nHere, shell middens will help us understand the world of the Y\u00e1mana (local indigenous people). Also, we\u2019ll watch a myriad of species of flora and wildlife.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #d6b319; font-size: 20px;\">Operational Season<\/span><\/p>\n<p>All seasons<\/p>\n<p><span
